Specialist at your company – psychologist

Mental healthSpecialist at your company – psychologist

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), mental health is a state of well-being in which the individual realises their own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to their community.

Nowadays, it is difficult to maintain good mental health. A world full of many unknowns, full of anxiety and fear in both professional and personal life, causes chronic stress.

Mental resilience is, therefore, a scarce commodity. Even before the outbreak, 45% of Polish employees expected support from employers in preventing mental health problems, as shown by results from BUPA Group studies quoted by Well.hr.

However, absenteeism among Medicover patients caused by mental health issues included the following problems: 46% of absences were caused by responses to severe stress, and adaptive disorders; 26% were related to a depressive episode; 17% to anxiety disorders; and 12% to other mental health sick leaves.

To which occupational groups do we recommend a visit to a psychologist?

Negative emotions, frustration and a sense of powerlessness are effects of severe stress. This is applicable both to employees on a remote basis or on-site at the workplace. Many of us have faced challenges in providing childcare, facing an imbalance between private and professional life, 24/7 readiness to work, or need to meet employers’ (sometimes quite high) expectations.

The “Specialist at your company – psychologist” product is recommended to all occupational groups because mental health problems affect the general public. Provide your employees with psychological comfort: give them the opportunity to contact a psychologist.

What does a visit to a psychologist at your company look like?

The visit is available as a 5-hour on-call duty during which employees can individually consult the specialist also in a remote consultation. During the on-call duty, employees can call a dedicated helpline, and get support and assistance there. Remote consultations enable even more intimacy, encouraging even those employees who previously did not want to use this kind of assistance.

The psychologist can consult around 30 people during a single on-call duty.
